商纣王是中国古代昏暴之君的代表,他的恶行以《尚书·牧誓》与《史记·殷本记》等文献所记最为典型和集中,但这些记载大多是站在周人及后人的立场来对纣的行为作出判断,因此存在不少疑点。商纣王的不少“恶行”,在相当程度上是由于周克殷的政治军事需要和殷商社会与周代及以后社会的差异而成为“恶行”的。
