Gratification and Regret-A Review and Evaluation of the Chinese Movies Produced in 2002

国产电影贴近人生,折射时代,走进心灵,是2002年度影片总体反映出来的良好人文趋向;其在艺术展示方面的精益求精、风格各异、镜像美学的成熟与高扬,也应有保留地予以肯定。但是,这一年度的电影也存在着人文内涵上的轻浅有余而厚重不足、艺术展示上的形式有余而内容不足、制作策略上的“艺术”有余而“商业”不足三种弱症。

Most of the Chinese movies produced in 2002 reflect the reality of the present age and reveal the mind of people, representing a positive humanistic tendency. On the one hand, these movies show great success in artistic reveal-ing, style forming and camera aesthetics. On the other hand, shortcomings do exist in the aspects of deep humanistic meaning, the content of artistic revealing and so on.
