This paper analyses the significance of paper industry in the sustainable development and expounds the importance and necessityof pollution-free bleaching from the point of view of sustainable development, pointing out that pollution-free bleaching is an effectivesolution to such problems confronting pulping industry as the great waste of chemicals, the low quality of pulp products and the seriouspollution. It also puts forward countermeasures of developing pollution-free technology with a view to promoting the steady advance ofChinas pulping industry towards sustainable development.
