Construction Techniques for Bridge Pile Foundations in Ever-Frozen Soil Areas for Qinghai-Tibet Railway

青藏铁路多年冻土区桥梁桩基础施工的关键是最大限度减小桩基础施工过程中外界热量对桩周多年冻土的扰动,同时确保桩基混凝土强度的增长。针对青藏铁路多年冻土区的特殊气候和地质情况,介绍桩基础施工技术和施工中应注意的问题。

The key to construction of bridge pile foundations in the everfrozen areas for QinghaiTibet Railway is to minimize the disturbance of exterior thermal to the frozen soil around the piles during construction, and to ensure the steady increase of concrete strength of the pile foundations. In this paper, in the light of the special climate and geological conditions of the said areas, the construction techniques and points of attention during the construction of the pile foundations are described.
