翼状胬肉的发病机制有多种不同的解释 ,目前尚无一种公认经典的发病机制理论。临床治疗效果也不尽人意 ,复发率较高。通过查阅近年来国内外有关该疾病发病机制及治疗方面的较新文献 ,对该疾病的发病机制及治疗作一综述 ,以期能对该疾病研究情况有一较全面的了解 。

Pterygium is a common ocular surface disease.There are many different vies about the etiology of this disease.At present,a definitive pathogenesis hasn't been discovered,and the therapeutic efficacy of drugs for this disease is not so encouraging.The rate of recurrence of pterygium is high.Understanding more about the pathogenesis of this disease is helpful for prevention and/or treatment.Available literature on this disease is reviewed,and the information on the pathogenesis and therapy of pterygium is summarized in this paper.
