Historical Events between Ningbo Hwamei Hospital and the Chiang Regime

华美医院是近代宁波著名教会医院,蒋介石是中国国民党当政时期党、政、军主要领导人,因种种机缘华美医院与蒋氏政权结下了难解之缘。本文试图梳理迄今关注甚少之宁波华美医院档案、《申报》以及相关当事人回忆录等史料,勾勒出几则宁波华美医院与蒋氏政权之间交涉之史事,进而揭秘华美医院与蒋氏政权之间的关系。

Hwamei Hospital is a famous church hospital in Ningbo in the modern times.Under the Chinese Kuomintang’s rule,Chiang Kai-shek was the main leader of the party,the government and the army.Due to various reasons,the hospital and the Chiang Regime established an intertwined relationship with each other.This paper attempts to discuss the historical events between the hospital and the Chiang Regime based on the archives of Ningbo Hwamei Hospital,the'Shen Daily'newspaper,and the memoirs of relevant parties.
