According to the negative transfer theory to give the empirical study of ESL writing,to discuss the typical error caused by negative transfer of mother tongue,hope to provide inspiration on improving the teaching of college English writing.The paper mainly proposes in the teaching of English writing,using appropriate measures to improve the phenomenon of not have a profound understanding of the negative transfer,we should have the right attitude and extensive knowledge of English reading and real writing situations.
