Giving example sentences is an important means in English classroom teaching.As the traditional example sen-tences for English teaching have some deficiency,this paper points out that College English teachers should design and choose good example sentences with instructive,realistic and communicative features from many sources,so as to stimulate students’ interests and improve the result of College English teaching.
