从《理想国》看《一粒麦种》中的民族主义

The limitation of nationalism in A Grain of Wheat:Based on The Republic of Plato

作为恩古吉的代表作,《一粒麦种》自1967年发表以来,一直备受国内外学者,尤其是对后殖民主义感兴趣的批评者们的关注。学者们视作品中穆苟这一人物形象为消极角色,然而,如果将人物置于政治的层面去解读,其形象就与"背叛者"大相径庭。从伦理批评的视角,以柏拉图的《理想国》中对"理想社会"的理想的政治理念为依拖,重新探讨穆苟的人物形象便可揭示民族主义的局限性。

As the representative of Ngugi,with its publication in 1967,A Grain of Wheat has attracted many scholars,especially those who are interested in the postcolonialism.Scholars regard the character Mugo as a negative one,however,if place this character in the angle politic and history,readers will find that his not the betrayer,but a hero.From the perspective of ethical criticism,and based on the ideas about ideal society described in The Republic of Plato to discuss the characteristic of Mugo can reveal the limitation of nationalism.
