基于数据库的数字文化特色词的英译研究——以《万佛圣城日诵仪轨》为例

A data-based research on the English translation of the numerical culture-loaded words

学术界对《万佛圣城日诵仪轨》英译本的研究暂时是一片空白。《万佛圣城日诵仪轨》中的数字词有鲜明的文化特征,以自建小型双语数据库为基础探讨它们的英译策略比较客观。只有以异化为主归化为辅,才能让译入语读者尽可能接触到最本真的原语文化。

Scholars home and abroad haven’t done any research on Sagely City of 10,000 Buddhas Daily Recitation Handbook.There are many numerical culture-loaded words in this book. Therefore,a small bilingual database was built in order to more objectively discuss their strategy of translation. It shows only to foreignization and complementally applied domestication so that the readers of the target text could appropriately get the most genuine source language culture.
