This paper summarizes fasctors affecting wing dimorphism of the rice brown planthopper(BPH),the relationship between wing dimorphism and geographical populations,the relationship between wing dimorphism and biotypes,as well as the genetic regularity and physiological mechanism of wing dimorphism.The problems to be further studied on wing dimprphism of BPH are put forward.
