On Japanese Economic Plunder and Servitude Education in Xiamen

1938年5月至1945年9月日本帝国主义侵占厦门,在厦门进行经济掠夺与奴化教育,犯下累累罪行。这些罪行带来的恶果不仅使厦门城市近代化陷于停滞,而且给厦门市民的身心带来了极大的摧残和伤害,影响延及战后相当长一段时间。

The present paper examines the atrocities that the Japanese army committed in Xiamen from the perspective of economic plunder and servitude education.It maintains t hat the monstrosities did not only le ad to the discontinuation of urbane moderniz ation of Xiamen,but also indelible mental and physical impairment and affiction upon the people of Xiamen.The afterm ath effected for a long time after the war.
