Analysis of the Filial Piety and Righteousness in Sun Wukong's Character

小说的人物形象是艺术创作的核心,主要人物则鲜明地体现了小说创作的思想倾向性及其艺术魅力。《西游记》的主要人物孙悟空是一个充满魔幻色彩和浪漫情怀的神话英雄形象,它以儒家思想为根本,道家思想为内容,佛为形式,民间为生长滋养。长期以来,人们对于孙悟空这个艺术形象的研究有许多的争论,大多集中在其性格的反抗性和斗争性上,本文试图通过《西游记》的叙事结构和孙悟空的性格发展来探讨孙悟空性格中长期以来被人们所忽略的特征之孝和义,并由此概括出孙悟空形象的社会价值。

The character of a novel is the center of artistic creation .The main characters are vividly reflected the ideological tendency and artistic charm of novel creation .Sun Wukong,as the main character of Pilgrimage to the West ( Xi You Ji) ,is a mythic heroic image full of magical and romantic color .Pilgrimage to the West takes Confu-cianism as its base ,takes Taoist thoughts as its content and regards Buddha as its form .There are a lot of debates mostly concentrated on the study of the artistic image of Sun Wukong and his revolt and struggle .This paper at-tempts to explore the filial piety and righteousness in Sun WuKong‘s character been ignored through the narrative structure of Pilgrimage to the West and Sun WuKong ’ s character development ,thus presents the social value of Sun WuKong ’ s image .
