摘要
本研究主要采用文献法搜集大量的相关资料,对经验型ESL教师的专业发展进行了探析,明确了经验型教师和专家型教师的定义、特点及其区别于新手教师的不同之处,讨论了提高经验型教师专业发展应考虑的问题,最后提出了满足经验型教师独特需求的专业发展模式。
This paper,by using the documentary method to collect a number of relevant documents,studies the professional development for experienced ESL teachers. It begins with an overview of the definitions and characteristics of experienced and expert teachers and of the ways that these teachers differ from novice teachers. It continues with a discussion of considerations involved in providing high-quality professional development for experienced teachers. Last,models of professional development that have been suggested for meeting the unique needs of experienced teachers are presented,including action research; mentoring,coaching and peer observation; opportunities for reflection.
