论古代雅典“温和”的奴隶制

“Moderate” Theory of Ancient Athens Slavery

雅典以温和对待奴隶而著称。除了表现在个人层面上的奴隶主对奴隶的人性化管理外,更上升至雅典城邦法律对奴隶的保护上。这都是受雅典城邦美德、奴隶主自身利益以及主奴之间情感关系的影响。此外,在肯定雅典奴隶制"温和"的同时,更应该从奴隶制的内部和外部强调它的相对性。而正是这种相对温和的奴隶制最终推动了古代雅典城邦走向稳定和繁荣。

Athens is known for its moderate slavery. In addition to performance on the individual level of slave owners for the slave of the humanized management,it even rises to Athens law on the protection of the slave. This is influenced by the virtue of Athens,slave owners and the relationship between the slave and slave owners. Besides,we should emphasize its relativity from the internal and external side of slavery. It is this relatively moderate slavery that promoted the ancient Athens moving from its stability to prosperity.
