摘要
2017年7月李楠教授在第五届量化历史讲习班当中为学员们普及了新历史计量以及历史自然实验这一概念。在课程中李楠教授系统地介绍了新历史计量的研究特点以及发展趋势,并用生动的研究实例阐述了历史自然实验在经济史研究当中的重要作用。本文旨在回顾李楠教授在讲习班上的演讲内容,并更加详尽地介绍李楠教授与合作研究者的两篇研究:'Moving to the Right Place at the Right Time:Economic Effects on Migrants of the Manchuria Plague of 1910-11'以及'管治方式转变与经济发展——基于清代西南地区‘改土归流’历史经验的考察'。
This essay reviews the lecture from Prof.Nan Li during the5th Summer School for Quantitative History in Kaifeng.We introduce the features of cliometrics and the application of econometrics in economic history studies.Then we explain the concept of historical natural experiment and provide examples from empirical economic history studies.At the end,this essay selects and presents two studies in the lecture from Li:'Moving to the Right Place at the Right Time:Economic Effects on Migrants of the Manchuria Plague of 1910-11',and'Governance and Economic Development:A Historical Investigation on the Southwest China'
