In this paper,VLAN technology is discussed,used in designing and implementation of campus network,which is constructed with Cisco catalyst switches such as 65xx,35xx,and 29xx.Detailed introduction is given to the designing of VTP domain,the configuration of VTP trunk and EtherChannel,the optimization of VLAN configuration by using VTP pruning and STP PortFast,as well as the resolving scheme for problems caused by too many VLANs for switches to support.
