摘要
综现中国洋泾浜英语的发展历史,它可以分为别琴英语和中国英语两个主要阶段.我们暂且以中国近代史为分水岭,分别以别琴英语和中国英语来区分广州英语、上海洋泾浜英语等早期的洋泾浜英语和现代的洋泾浜英语.我们对待别琴英语和中国英语也应该象对待其它英语和其它任何文化现象那样采取一种更加容忍和开放的态度,对它们持否定或怀疑态度完全是不可取的.对别琴英语和中国英语的研究对我国的语言教学具有重大的历史意义和现实意义.
From the perspective of history, Pidgin Chinese English involves two stages of Pidgin English and Chinese English. Such terms as Pidgin English and Chinese English are adopted to distinguish Canton English and Shanghai Pidgin English in Chinese modern history from the contemporary Pidgin Chinese English. A more tolerant and open attitude should be developed towards Pidgin English and Chinese English, while any denial or doubt about them is considered undesirable. Furthermore, studies on Pidgin English and Chinese English present some historical and realistic significance to the language teaching in our country.
