This article proceeds from the analysis of the semantic function of the English'and' sentence which produces the revelation that, if viewed from the angle of translation thinking, the English attributive clause bears a parataxis under its cover of hypotaxis. And knowing this is not only quite construcive to deep understanding of such subordinate clause but also instrumental to the mastery of translating techniques. In this article, the author gives a detailed description of the techniques that can be used to render the English attributive clause in a successful way. The commonly used techniques are as follows:pre position,division, conversion and structural selfsameness.
