English language teaching research is a dynamic process, hence some principles gained are usually suitable to the teaching of some aspects in some specific contexts. So scientific choice and use of research methods will help adjust our language teaching according to the changed context. This paper deals with some common English language teaching research methods such as the experiment, observation, historic, survey and introspection.
