Review on the Spiritual Demands of the Elderly

精神需求作为老年人健康生活的重要方面关系到其晚年生活的质量和水平,将老年人精神需求纳入社会保障政策范畴意义不言而喻。依据相关研究文献,对老年人精神需求的内涵、特点,以及将老年人精神需求纳入社会政策的理论依据进行了归纳,对老年人精神需求的测量方法以及老年人精神赡养的模式作了概括和展望。

As one important aspect of the healthy life of the elderly, spiritual demands of the elderly have a direct bearing on the quality and living standard of their old age life. Thus, it is of great significance to incorporate the spiritual demands of the elderly into the social security policy. Referring to related literatures extensively, this paper firstly summarizes the meaning and the characteristic of spiritual demands of the elderly, then generalizes the theoretical foundation of incorporating the spiritual demands of the elderly into the social security policy, next sums up the measuring method of spiritual demands of the elderly and the mental support patterns for the old age, and finally makes a prospect of the future trend of research on spiritual demands of the elderly.
