The increasing gap between the poor and the rich is a fundamental problem in modern society,which according to Hegel is a severe challenge to justice.The pauperization is an inevitable product of civil society,which cannot resolve the problems of extravagance and poverty by itself.Hegel reveals the limitation of civil society and argues for the necessary transition from civil society to state as ethical reality,where the social justice is possible.Different forms of social aids not only constitute pillars of the welfare state,but also are the prerequisites of market economy and justice of modern state.
