With the widely application of the limestone wet desulphurization system,the problem of high operating costs for desulphurization is faced. The energy saving effect of flue gas desulfurization was analyzed with stopping a slurry circulating pump in a 300 MW thermal power plant. At the same time of saving energy and reducing consumption,the prevent measures are given on the basis of exist hidden troubles.
