The name origin,scope and theoretical status of non-subject-predicate sentences

在非主谓句提出之前,对相关现象的探讨是在无主句、独词句或单部句的名义下进行的,20世纪80年代后逐渐为非主谓句所取代。非主谓句有广义和狭义两种理解,广义的非主谓句包括省略句。学界多数学者对非主谓句持狭义理解。如果持狭义理解,则要涉及非主谓句和省略句的划界问题。这个难题至今仍缺乏行之有效的解决办法。就理论地位而言,将广义非主谓句与主谓句并列没有问题,但不宜将狭义非主谓句与主谓句并列。

Before the non-subject-predicate sentence was put forward,the discussion on relevant phenomena was carried out in the name of non-subject sentences,single-word sentences or one-member sentences.Gradually they have been replaced by non-subject-predicate sentences since 1980 sabout which there are two ways of understandings:in a broad sense,non-subject-predicate sentences include ellipses;in a narrow sense,non-subject-predicate sentences exclude ellipses.Most scholars advocate the latter perspective.It is definite to arouse the problem of demarcation between non-subject-predicate sentences and elliptical sentences.This conundrum has not met its effective solution up to now.In terms of theoretical status,juxtaposing generalized non-subject-predicate sentences with subject-predicate sentences is fine,but the juxtaposition of subject-predicate sentences and subject-predicate sentences in narrow sense is inappropriate.
