Borneol is widely used in ophthalmology and other subjects.We discussed it from the following aspects:①The clinical application of borneol is extensive,especially in ophthalmologic diseases.②The cold and hot properties of borneol are different from each other.③We should make dialectical choices when we use borneol in ophthalmology.④Combined with modern research,the therapeutic effect of borneol is improved.⑤Although borneol is a good medicine,clinical abuse should also be avoided.The traditional application of borneol in ophthalmology and modern new applications are summarized from different perspectives.We hoped that it will arouse the attention and more in-depth study of the clinical application of borneol.
