Cultivation of Business English Talents in Application-oriented Universities from the Perspective of Lingua-Economics

经济学视角下的语言具有成本、价值、效用和收益四个经济学特质,是一种人力资本。第二语言无论是对于高校还是对学习者而言都是一种经济投资,并创造经济价值。应用型本科高校在培养商务英语人才时运用经济学的成本—效用分析框架,开展校企合作、优化课程设置,实现语言教学和学习过程中的人力资本投资收益和效用最大化。

Language, considered from the perspective of economics, has four characteristics: cost, value,util-ityand benefit. It is a kind of human capital. Second language is, therefore,aneconomicinvestmentthatcreateseco-nomic value for language learners as well as the colleges and universities. In cultivating business Englishtal-ents, application-oriented universities evaluate by using the cost-utility framework in lingua-economics,cooper-ate with enterprises and optimize the curriculum so that they can maximize the benefit and utility ofhuman capi-tal investment in the process of language teaching and learning.
