李商隐一生多难 ,遭遇不幸使其表达思想时采用隐晦的手法 ,艺术方式也趋于深微化 ,诗歌题材与所用手法丰富多彩且比较难懂。他最重要的诗歌题材是政治诗、咏史诗、咏物诗。

Li Shangyin met with many misfortunes in all his life. Thus, in hispoetry, he expresses his thoughts and feelings in an obscure way, the themes are difficult to understand, and the techniques of expression are varied. Most of his poets are about politics, history, love, nature and acquaintances.
