摘要
戏剧语篇是用来表演假拟对话 (pseudo_conversations)的文学语篇 ,可以用处理真实对话的方法去探讨之。这些方法是被创造出来用于艺术目的的言辞列 (sequences) ,而且某些规约和规则是不同的。为分析戏剧《奥赛罗》的问答对白 ,该文提出了八条基本假设 ,但在该剧的对白中 ,这些假设常被否定 ,从而使奥赛罗的妒忌心愈来愈重 。
Drama texts, being literary scripts for the performing of pseud o-conv ersations, can be successfully approached with techniques originally developed t o analyse real conversations. We must, of course, always remember that these are invented sequences, shaped for an artistic purpose, and that some of the rules and conventions are different. In order to analyse the questions and answers in “Othello”, this paper proposes eight underlying assumptions which are often de ni ed in the conversations, so that Othello's jealousy becomes stronger and stronge r, and at last he stifles his beloved wife Desdemona.
