On the Functions of Library

图书馆有收藏、整理、提供服务这三个职能,这三个职能是相互依存、相辅相成的,它们由图书馆的社会地位决定。在网络化时代,数字图书馆亦应具有这三个职能,虽然形式不同。

The functions of library are collecting, sorting and service-offering. These three functions go together and complement one another, which is decided by the position of library. In the network times, digital library should also have these three functions though their forms differ.
