An Analysisof the Occupational Gender Segregation in Tourism Industry and Its Reasons

本文从职业性别隔离的相关概念入手,首先对国内外对旅游业中的职业性别隔离相关研究成果进行了综述,并在此基础上,对旅游业内存在的职业性别隔离进行了探讨,证明旅游业存在水平方向和垂直方向的职业性别隔离,最后分析了旅游业之所以会存在职业性别隔离的原因所在。

Starting from the related concepts of occupational gender segregation, this paper first makes a thorough literature review of the occupational gender segregation in tourism both at home and abroad. Based on this, the paper then discusses the occupational gender segregation in current tourism industry which usually falls into two categories: vertical and horizontal segregation. Finally, the paper analyzes the reasons for the occupational gender segregation.
