The Analysisof Jack London’s Romanticism in Sea Wolf

《海狼》是美国作家杰克·伦敦的长篇小说之一。目前,对《海狼》的研究多从自然主义观点、生态主题或复杂的哲学思想出发,而很少探讨他作品中的浪漫主义。本文主要从浪漫主义角度为切入点,分析杰克·伦敦在《海狼》中所流露的热爱自然,推崇个人英雄主义和追求真爱的浪漫主义情结,展现他独树一帜的浪漫情怀。

Sea Wolf is one of novels written by the American writer Jack London. Nowadays, a lot of researches have been done concerning this novel, mainly from naturalism, ecological perspective and some complicated philosophies. However, little is mentioned about romanticism in the novel. This article aims to show Jack London ’s unique romantic complex from the viewpoint of romanticism by analyzing his love of nature, his admiration of individual heroism and his pursuit of true love in Sea Wolf.
