中国壮游活动具有悠久的历史,在文学、史学等方面产生过积极的影响,留下了宝贵的精神财富。由于在清中后期思想封闭和近代以来战难频发,中国壮游活动逐渐衰落。反而在十八世纪的英国开始兴盛一种西式壮游并对世界产生影响,但是西式壮游在形式和内涵上都与中国壮游有很大差异,更不能完全替代中国壮游的影响。中国壮游包含人文壮游、科学壮游、宗教壮游和政治性的大规模壮游。弘扬中国壮游文化不但可以进一步认识中国壮游史,对弘扬中华文化、实现文化强国的战略目标也具有重要意义。

Chinese grand tours have a long history and a positive influence on the study of literature and history. They are a great treasure of China. Due to being close-minded of the late Qing dynasty and the wars in modern time,grand tours of the Chinese were declining while western grand tours sprang up in England in 18 th century and became influential. However,the western grand tours are different from the Chinese grand tours both in form and content and can never replace the influence of the latter. Chinese grand tours include cultural tour,science tour,religious tour and political tour. Promoting the Chinese grand tours not only helps people understand their history but also has great significance in promoting Chinese culture and building China into a country of strong culture.
