The Development of Perfective Marker了,哓&唨 in Cantonese

19世纪以来,广州话完成体标记经历了“’了’’哓’并用→’哓’’唨’并用→’唨’独用”的发展过程。“了”和“哓”的句法位置基本相同,语体色彩方面存在差异:“哓”是“了”的俗语词。“哓”取代“了”的语言事实,在一定程度上表明有些俗语词较之正式场合的用语生命力更强。“唨”本是口语中表示祈使语气的句末助词,其完成体标记的功能来自音同形近词“阻”。

Since the 19 th century,the perfective markers in Cantonese developed from T& 哓 to 唨.The syntactic positions of 了 & 哓 were almost the same,the difference between them is stylistic feature:晓 was used as a colloquial word for 了.唨 was a final particle denoting the imperative mood, then took the meaning of perfective aspect from 阻, and developed into a word denoting aspect marker.
