从中西文化交流视野看罗明坚“葡汉辞典”中概念的诠释翻译

Research on the Conceptual Interpretation of Michele Ruggieri’s "Portuguese-Chinese Dictionary" from the Perspective of Cultural Exchange between China and the West

第一位获准进入中国内地传教的耶稣会士罗明坚编撰完成了一本'葡汉辞典'。作为第一本中西文辞典,此文献在中西文化交流史上有着极为重要的意义。在明清中西文化首次相遇之际,这本'辞典'不仅是一本工具书,还反映了传教士如何理解中华文化和如何尝试建立双方对话基础等问题。文章在对'辞典'编撰者等存疑问题考证的同时,通过考察'辞典'选词倾向、编撰结构和核心概念的翻译操作,进一步分析罗明坚在用汉语表述哲学、宗教词汇的译介方式和对中国文化的关注点等内容。

Michele Ruggieri,the first Jesuit who obtained the permission to live in China,completed a'Portuguese-Chinese Dictionary'.As the first Chinese-Western dictionary,this document takes a very important place in the history of Chinese and Western cultural exchanges.In the Ming and Qing dynasties,Chinese and Western culture met for the first time.This'dictionary'not only is a reference book,but also reflects the missionaries’understanding of Chinese culture and the attempt to establish the basis of dialogue between the two sides.This article analyzes the editor of the'dictionary',and examines the way of compiling the'dictionary'.This essay also discusses how Ruggieri expresses philosophical and religious core concepts in Chinese and his focuson Chinese culture.
