七月派的文学写作以独特的姿态呈现于30年代后期至40年代的现代文坛,七月派对作家主体性的凸显及对启蒙意识的侧重,拓展和深化了左翼文学的表现空间。七月派是特定社会政治文化语境的产物,更是其精神领袖胡风基于特定政治文化语境对马克思主义文艺理论创造性的发展,集政治、文化、审美于一体的另一维左翼文学格局,也是左翼文学内部自身的反思一维。1945年抗战后胡风对七月派文学的理论建构,在《讲话》发布后具有文化政治的倾向,其所继承的新文学启蒙批判立场,与左翼政治立场(阶级理性)建构了左翼文化政治的另一维,其文学实践折射出左翼自身具有的反思性。
