Microcatheter plays an important role in chronic total occlusion(CTO)percutaneous coronary intervention.Based on the construction, microcatheter can be classified as coil-based,braiding-based and composite-based.From the point of view of construction and the performance, commercialized microcatheters were reviewed in this paper.A latest designed microcatheter named Blue Arrow was introduced as well.
