摘要
语段的大量存在是语言运用的重要特征。语段习得直接影响学生语言理解和表达的能力。大学英语课应以语段为词汇教学单位 ,提升学生的语段意识 ,训练他们识别和创造性运用语段的能力。语段教学对提高学生语言能力具有重要意义。
Language use is significantly characterized by the existence of large number of language chunks whose acquisition will directly affect the students' linguistic comprehension and expression. The paper suggests a new approach to the teaching of college English vocabulary in chunks rather than in words by means of raising the students' awareness of chunks and training them to identify and use chunks creatively. The chunk approach is of great significance in improving the students' linguistic competence.
