太平天国和辛亥革命是中国近代史上两次影响深远的革命运动 ,前者被清政府镇压 ,后者成功地推翻了清王朝和两千多年的封建帝制 。

The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and the 1911 Revolution were two significant revolutionaries in the history of modern China .The former was put down by the Qing dynasty government ,while the later succeeded in overthrowing the Qing dynasty and the feudal system which had lasted for twenty centuries. The difference resulted from the different tactics of the guiders and their different social surroundings .
