甘蔗与一些食用植物如茶叶、大豆、竹叶等一样,含有对人体具抗氧化活力的多酚类化合物.据中外关于甘蔗成份的专著论述:甘蔗中多酚(Polyphenol s)类物属水溶性色素,它们都含有C6-C3-C6的碳骨架,同时在苯环上都具有两个以上的羟基,常见的有3类:即花青素(Anthocyanidians)、花黄素(黄酮类Flavonoids)、儿茶素(Catechins,简称CAT).
In Order to increase the economical gain of sugar industry and to develop the resources of health products, several health products that could be extracted from cane will be described in terms of product characteristics and manufacturing technology. These health products being: beverage from cane tops,amino acids, chlorophyll, octacosanol, policosanol, polyphenols, sterol, protein peroxidase and glucosan from cane; with intention to draw the attention of related producers.
