Advanced waste management practices in the EU camtries supported by comprehensive waste management legislation on community and national level will lessen the impact from uncontrolled and poor waste treatment and disposal practice.The waste management framework includes production and avoidance of wastes at the source,the technological improvement of waste treatment and processing facilities and the implementation of engineered landfills.The limitation of waste,which is accepted to be land filled,is an efficient measure to monitor the development of waste processing prior land filling.The legal requirements on EU level will improve the situation all over Europe within the next 14 years,whilst some countries are planning to reach these targets already in 2008.The further development of the environmental industry sector is therefore still ongoing.China has published a first waste management law in 1995 and the physical implementation of an integrated waste management infrastructure is becoming more and more a priority issue
