This essay is trying to have a political reading of 'The Prioress's Tale in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. In analyzing the tragic death of an innocent Christian boy murdered by the Judaist, the essay bluntly presents the sharp conflict between two hostile religious groups, the Christianity and the Judaism, and their struggle for power and truth based on different interpretations of the same world. Furthermore, the prioress is proved to be an unreliable narrator because her religious role as a Christian has a definite influence on her telling the tale objectively.
