This paper, by adopting the feminist perspective and detailed text study, attemps to reveal the theme of The Glass Menagerie, especially the tragic lives and stereotypical roles imposed upon women by men. Special focus is on women's suffering and agony under the control of tradition and male dominated society. By doing so, it is hoped that a new angel of studying the play is offered.
