A Review on the Fifth International Conference on Wen Xuan

第五届文选学国际学术研讨会在萧统故里镇江隆重召开,盛况空前。大会交流论文80余篇,对"《文选》版本及注本"、"《文选》作者、选录标准、分类及其价值"、"《文选》所选作家作品"、"《文选》分体文学"、"萧统文学思想与文学史观"、"《文选》接受学"、"《文选》语言学"、"萧氏家族及萧统遗迹"等八个方面进行全方位、多角度的研讨。大会回顾了上世纪文选学研究的历程,对新世纪文选学研究提出了希望与要求。

The Fifth International Conference on Wen Xuan was held in Zhenjiang, Xiao Tung′s birthplace. More than eighty papers were presented in the Conference. There were eight panels dealing with various themes: different editions and annotations of Wen Xuan ; authors, criteria of selections, classifications and aesthetic values; authors and texts represented in Wen Xuan ; literary forms and patterns in Wen Xuan ; Xiao Tung′s literary thoughts and literary historiography; Wen Xuan and reception theory; Wen Xuan and linguistics; and Xiao Tung′s family and his historical ruins. The Conference has provided a forum for interested scholars and researchers to exchange views and comments. Some have interpreted Xiao Tung as an innovator of literary genre from different perspectives. The publication of the collected essays presented in the Conference was a consummation of the studies and scholarship of Xiao Tung in China in the last century.
