The age of knowledgebased economy is coming.As a new economic form based upon the production,distribution and operation of knowledgebased and information,the relationship between knowledgebased economy and higher education well be closer and closer in the near future.The university should grasp the chance that knowledgebased economy brings,change some of the basic educational concepts,reform the old pattern of education and the old way of fostering.It should aim at developing peoples creativity and qualityoriented education,at reaching the peak of total innovation of running a university,and at making bigger contributions to the modernization of our beloved country.
