The correlation between physiological character and the vigor of aged rice seeds of seven rice varieties was studied.The results showed that there were differences in seed vitality,germination potential,germination rate and germination index among rice varieties.There were also differences in four physiological characteristics.The relative electroconductivity rate was negatively related to seed vigor, and the respiratory rate was positively related,both presented significant levels, but the activities of peroxidase (POD) and catalase (CAT) were not lineally related to seed vigor.
