摘要 It is a great challenge to provide multicast to mobile hosts using mobile IP for network routing support.In this paper,we first make some analyses and researches on mobile IP and IP multicast based on IP network mode,then,we place great emphasis on the provision for handling multicast in the current mobile IP specification,and analyze the problems when combining multicasting and mobility in the existing IP network,including comparing several mechanisms and analyzing their respective problems.At last we provide and improved architecture to support IP multicast for mobile hosts using mobile IP,and compare it with the introduced mechanism.
