Social and Cultural Factors in the Foreign language Teaching

语言与文化的关系密不可分。社会文化因素在外语教学中所起的作用越来越重要。面对文化差异,培养学生的文化意识和社会文化能力已成为当务之急。外语教学应有计划、有系统地进行文化教学,把语言教学与文化教学有机结合起来。

Language and culture are closely linked with each other. The social and cultural factors are playing an increasingly important role in the FLT. It has become the priority of the FLT to cultivate students' cultural awareness and social competence due to the cultural differences. Thus there comes a higher requirement for the teaching of foreign languages and the teachers. The FLT should be combined with the cultural teaching coordinately.
