日本创建世界一流的研究教育基地——启动“21世纪卓越基地”项目述评

Toward world-first-class center of research and education:a commentary on the program of "COE in the 21st Century" started in Japan

2 0 0 2年 ,日本启动了旨在创建世界一流大学的“2 1世纪卓越基地”项目评审活动。本文就这一项目开始实施的背景以及整体特点进行了考察 ,并对通过评审的卓越学科基地进行了个案分析 ,最后还结合中国创建世界一流大学问题谈了若干认识。

The Program of 'Center of Excellence in the 21st Century' toward world-first-class universities has been launched in Japan at this year. In this paper, I will first introduce the background and general characteristics about the program, and then sample one case in this program to study. Lastly, I will give several my points on the educational reform in China.
