摘要
根据自由电子激光器(FEL)对电子束流品质的要求,对束流发射度以及引起束流发射度变化的因素,诸如加速过程中微波场的突变、能量增加、波导结构的尾场效应和传输过程中的空间电荷效应、粒子密度分布的影响及偏转系统中的尾场效应等等,进行了物理上的分析,对其中某些情况,给出了束流发射度变化量的具体估算。
To achive high efficiecy for the conversion of electron kinetic energy in an electron beam to electromagnetic energy in a Free Electron Laser (FEL), it is important to improve the beam quality. And hence, it is necessary to study and minimize the emittance growth of the beam. According to the requirements for the beam quality in an FEL, we have analyzed the emittance growth caused by the jump of the electric field in anaceelerator, energy increase, wakefield in a waveguide, space charge effect and distribution of particles in a beam as well as the wakefield in a diflect system etc..We have also estimated the emittance change caused by the variation of the microwave field from the gun to the first accelerator for our case.
