改革开放以来,在人民生活水平普遍提高的同时,居民收入差距也在不断扩大。只有从分析收入差距形成的原因着手,才能正确认识收入差距的扩大:一方面,对合理、合法、适度的收入差距要积极鼓励其存在和发展;另一方面,对不合理、不合法、不适度的收入差距要充分认识到它的影响,并采取各种措施来缩小收入差距,以维护社会稳定,推动经济发展。
